Meet the Staff

Get to know some of our wonderful full and part time staff members below!

Dr. Brady - "Doc"

Over a decade ago, Dr. Brady ("Doc") traveled to the country of Belize for a study abroad program dedicated to Wildlife & Conservation Medicine. During this experience, she discovered her calling in exotic animal medicine.

Dr. Brady received her B.S. in Animal Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!). Following graduation, Dr. Brady returned to Belize to serve as a wildlife veterinarian focused on conservation and animal rehabilitation. During this time, she worked at the Belize Wildlife & Referral Clinic alongside multiple non-profit organizations and programs for species survival. She also served as a lecturer with the Wildlife Institute for veterinary study abroad programs. Dr. Brady later completed a post-graduate veterinary internship, and went on to receive additional training under some of the most renowned veterinary and animal care specialists in both private and zoological settings. In 2023, Dr. Brady graduated from the University of Florida's Aquatic Animal Care & Conservation program with honors, and is continuing her pursuit to become a Certified Aquatic Veterinarian.

Prior to AVS, Dr. Brady served as both an Executive Director & Chief Veterinarian at a private zoo in Texas. Upon recognizing the growing need for veterinary oversight and care in the exotic animal community, she decided to open Aggieland Veterinary Services. Dr. Brady is also a faculty member for the Blinn College Veterinary Technology Program where she teaches Exotic Animal Clinical Management to aspiring veterinary technicians.

Dr. Brady's goal has been to establish a comprehensive animal care service that is tailored to the unique medical and husbandry needs of exotic animals. Her passions include nutrition, mammalian internal medicine (especially marsupials), and ungulate immobilization. Dr. Brady aspires to one day expand the practice to further include conservation directed research and education opportunities for aspiring exotic animal veterinarians.

Magda H.

Magda is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.S. degree in Wildlife Ecology & Conservation! Before joining the AVS team, Magda worked as a kennel tech and veterinary technician in a small animal hospital. Most recently, she worked as a zookeeper where she broadened her exotic animal knowledge while providing care for over 100 different species. During this time, she was elevated into a Lead Keeper position for large ungulates where her favorite species to work with was Giraffes.

Magda loves photography, and freelances as a photographer in the Brazos Valley for a variety of events and venues.  She enjoys spending time in nature, and especially loves birdwatching!  Her love of nature extends even further to her passion for plants, which led her to establish an extensive houseplant collection.  Magda also has a cockatiel, two dogs, and a variety of fish and aquatic snails.

Magda is very excited to join Aggieland Veterinary Services as Client Liaison, and bring exceptional customer service and educational outreach to the team!

Mallory G.

Mallory is a Brazos Valley native and grew up right here in Bryan, TX!  She attended Texas A&M University where she graduated with both a B.S. in Animal Science and a M.S. in Equine Nutrition.  After years of working as a veterinary technician, Mallory elected to return to school for a degree in Veterinary Technology.  After completion of this program, Mallory will be eligible to receive the elite designation of LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician).

Mallory has worked with exotic animals in both the private and zoological settings. A majority of her zoological work focused on Animal Enrichment & Training, and she is passionate about developing innovative training strategies to create a positive human-animal bond.  Her goal is to bring these concepts to AVS clients by facilitating training plans and techniques to improve welfare and patient cooperation in veterinary procedures.  Although she loves working with all animals, she finds the most joy working with New World Monkeys and Prosimians.

Outside of work, Mallory loves reading and running!  She takes the phrase "run for fun" to new heights, and frequently competes in long distance running competitions. Mallory also enjoys spending time with her own animals which consist of 4 horses, 2 llamas, 2 cats, & 3 dogs. She also owns a ring-tailed lemur named "Pepita", who lives alongside Doc's group of lemurs (also known as a "conspiracy").
